Bond Rating Agency Bangs State As Snow White Dances With UConn.
I formed a fleeting wish this morning that Governor M. Jodi Rell had sought another term so that the voters of the state she’s abandoned could administer a firm rebuke to her irresponsible fiscal policies in November by tossing her out of office.
Fitch Ratings dealt the state a blow by lowering its bond rating to AA as it prepares to borrow nearly $1 billion to cover its budget deficit. This is Rell’s legacy. On this day of reckoning for Rell’s administration, Snow White was committing the state to another $237 million in bonds for the University of Connecticut Health Center. She is hopeless in a destructive way.

And the Democrats keep quiet because its taxpayer dollars going to state workers (even at the cost of undermining urban hospitals and urban communities). But why are the Republicans quiet?
