Marcus Brown Wins 22nd District Endorsement Over Incumbent Marilyn Moore.

State Senator Marilyn Moore’s political odyssey continues. Moore lost renomination from her Bridgeport-Trumbull district to challenger Marcus Brown by a wide margin. The two will meet in an August 11th primary.

Moore nearly defeated Joseph Ganim, Bridgeport’s incumbent Democratic mayor, in a September primary last year. A signature snafu precluded Moore from advancing to the fall corners as the Working Families Party nominee.

Brown serves as President Pro Tem of the Bridgeport city council. He was nominated by former state SenatorAnthony Musto, who Moore defeated To win her first Term in the Senate.
