You know you’re in trouble in cable news when your paymasters will no longer foot the bill for the hair lightening that requested. Kathleen Parker, the syndicated columnist who sold out for a reported $750,000 a year to appear with Eliot Spitzer on CNN, endured many indignities in her brief stint on the cable newser. The Daily Beast, which goes from strength to strength lately, provides the inside story and it is harsh in a cosseted sort of way.
Prostitution ring busting Client Number 9 remains a tough operator, whether or not he’s wearing socks. Parker never had a chance against him.

If you’ve read Parker’s columns over the years, you presumably would agree that she is a lightweight. Not surprised she clashed with Number 9.
Parker is either fabulous or dreadful. She has been more of the latter since she endorsed the Democrats in 2008 and went on a crusade against Governor Sarah Palin.
