Poor Larry Cafero, He Can’t Help It.

State House Minority Leader Lawrence Cagero (R-Brown Rudnick) will sacrifice almost anything to put in a performance on the floor of the House.  Today, in defense of his ever shrinking caucus’s proposal to sell Bradley International Airport, the beleaguered Republican declared there are no international flights at Bradley.  This will come as a surprise to the passengers and crew on the regularly scheduled Air Canada flights that arrive at and depart from the Windsor Locks airport.  Canada, our nation’s biggest trading partner and stalwart ally.  That great big country to the north with all those natural resources, it’s another country.

That clever device “Hello?” must have seemed irresistible.  It must have sounded like a good line to the thin-skinned leader of the 37 House Republicans. It is not, however, true.
